I am proposing that the attached newsletter is circulated via voice reps this week, please, if you are happy with its contents. We made £1,000 last year out of both 100 Club and the Auction, which is the same as a subs increase of £10 or more per annum.
So, this is an incentive for a few more 100 Club members/tickets to be ordered before Monday 12th March @ £6 for the rest of the year!! The next draw will be 19th March. Thank you to all who have continued to support the 100 Club and last year's Silent Auction.
The newsletter also presents the outcome of the survey last Autumn, which 20 members completed! On the basis of this, an ordinary raffle was as, or slightly more, popular than the silent auction, to be run at the soiree. A raffle may be more time consuming on the night?? I'm easy either way, if the team of helpers is up for it.
There are also some other ideas for fund raising. The Messiah workshop may be a fun way to get £10 off members of other choirs rather than fundraising amongst ourselves, but I feel Phil and Helen would have to be willing to lead this. I'm happy to propose All Cannings as a venue in, say, November, if there is an interest. Other ideas are more prosaic e.g. paying for music hire and might be best raised at the next AGM? Let's see what everyone says!
